1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Somali Fix Jobs (the "Platform"), a website and set of services that connect job seekers, interns, and employers across Somalia. By creating an account, browsing job listings, applying for a position, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not register for or use the Platform.
2. Eligibility & Your Account
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account on Somali Fix Jobs. When you register, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account. Only one account is permitted per email address, and accounts may not be sold, shared, or transferred to another person or organisation without our written consent.
3. Using the Platform as a Job Seeker
Job seekers may create a public profile, upload a CV, browse and apply for job or internship listings, and communicate with employers through the messaging system. You agree that all information in your profile and applications — including your work experience, education, and identity documents where requested — is truthful and belongs to you. Somali Fix Jobs does not guarantee that you will receive any job offer, interview, or response from an employer; we are a platform that connects parties, not an employment agency or guarantor of employment outcomes.
4. Using the Platform as an Employer
Companies and organisations may register a company profile, post job or internship opportunities, review applications, and contact candidates. By posting a listing, you confirm that the opportunity is genuine, currently available, and accurately described, and that you have the authority to recruit on behalf of the organisation named in your profile. Company accounts are subject to a verification review before their listings become publicly visible, and Somali Fix Jobs may request supporting documents (such as a business registration certificate) to confirm your organisation's identity. We reserve the right to reject, edit, or remove any listing that violates these Terms, local labour law, or that we reasonably believe to be fraudulent, discriminatory, or misleading.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: post false, misleading, or fraudulent information; impersonate another person or organisation; post job listings that require upfront payment from applicants, involve illegal activity, or discriminate on the basis of clan, gender, religion, disability, or other protected characteristics; scrape, copy, or harvest data from the Platform for purposes unrelated to your own job search or recruitment; send spam or unsolicited commercial messages through our messaging system; or attempt to interfere with, disable, or circumvent the security or proper functioning of the Platform, including by attempting unauthorised access to another user's account.
6. Content You Submit
You retain ownership of the content you upload to Somali Fix Jobs, including your CV, profile photo, company logo, and job descriptions ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant Somali Fix Jobs a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, and reproduce that content solely for the purpose of operating and promoting the Platform — for example, showing your public profile to employers or featuring an approved job listing on our homepage. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your User Content does not infringe the rights of any third party.
7. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
Somali Fix Jobs acts only as a meeting point between job seekers and employers. We do not employ job seekers, we are not a party to any employment contract formed as a result of using the Platform, and we do not verify every claim made by employers or candidates beyond the checks described in these Terms. The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Somali Fix Jobs and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including loss of income, missed opportunities, or disputes between job seekers and employers.
8. Termination & Changes to These Terms
We may suspend or terminate any account, at our discretion and without prior notice, if we believe it violates these Terms, involves fraudulent or abusive behaviour, or poses a risk to other users of the Platform. You may deactivate your own account at any time from your account settings. We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or in applicable law; when we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above, and continued use of the Platform after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
9. Governing Law & Contact
